The Travel Geek Logo Redesign
For this project I was able to have the opportunity to work on redesigning a logo for a personal logo for Cory Graham, a travel agent for the traveling company Where’s Walter Travel. For this project I wanted to work on creating a design that is more simplistic, following more modern design trends for personal logo designs. With this I wanted to put an emphasis on the design implementing more simplistic shapes. The intention with this final design is to create an easily recognizable logo, to immediately portray the sense of travel with this design, and to utilize the shapes in a creative format to showcase a level of complexity and convey multiple core messages to Cory Graham’s travel agency profession.
Original Logo, Font, & Shape Exploration
Cory Grahams original logo design had quite a bit of text along the bottom that I wanted to remove with this redesign project. I also wanted to take the blue and orange color from this original design and utilize it with the new logo concepts to add a bit of contrast. As well as further establish a consistent brand theme.
Here are some of the fonts and shape designs exploration on creating the main component of this new logo redesign. For the font exploration I wanted to focus more on a clean choice that will compliment the main goal of creating a simplistic geometric logo design. I also wanted explore various shapes that fit the theme of traveling and can be utilized as the logos main component. With that in mind I used air travel as well as cruising/sea travel as my source for inspiration and seeing how I can take those two options for travel to extract a simplistic shape that can compliment with Cory Graham’s travel agency/branding name of “The Travel Geek”.
