HYPOTHETICAL WEB & MOBILE PROJECTS
Hypothetical Cerebral Palsy App
For this hypothetical project for my class, I was tasked with creating an app that would help individuals with cerebral palsy and care takers. With this project I started with researching the condition and the various challenges that those who struggle with cerebral palsy go through.
Hypothetical Cerebral Palsy Watch Interface
Problem
The challenge for this hypothetical project is to create a mobile app design and interface that can be used by health care workers to assist individuals with cerebral palsy.
Solution
I started this project by exploring and working on the UI design elements for this app after I completed my research. With my research I determined that making a professional app to assist caretakers would be the ideal target audience. With that I wanted to create an app that can function with notifying the caretaker if an individual with cerebral palsy needs attention. As well as providing notification purposes to take mundane tasks and make them easier to also help with the caretakers daily tasks.
With my research done, I started by working on creating the brand mark that will be used, the typography that will be used through out the app and for the brandmark. I explored the iconography and color scheme to work on trying to maintain a professional and clean design for the user experience.
Solution
With the UI design elements made, research completed and basic design concepts finalized I created this design for my hypothetical app design.
For this hypothetical mobile watch design, it is a separate project but a continuation of the previous project for an app for individuals with cerebral palsy. With this project I was tasked with creating that same app design but now for the use of being in a mobile watch. This project was extremely interesting as I had a large amount of the design concepts completed from the previous project. I got to experience with creating this design and researching user experience for mobile watch users.
The approach for this project was reliant on project research for this serious condition and create a mobile interface that can identify key aspects that would benefit a health care worker in their day to day lives. As well as understand the user experience when interacting with this app and making sure the user can have an easy experience navigating through each page.
Hypothetical Hopscotch App
For this hypothetical project for my class I was tasked with designing a hypothetical app for educating kids and to assist teachers with making engaging education games. I got the idea from how much I enjoyed playing math games during my time in school. This project was focused on the design of each page and the user experience on how they would interact with this app and navigate through the different pages. Considering this is for younger audiences I wanted to make the design colorful and engaging, while working with gradients to not strain the eyes for prolonged use of the app. I wanted to focus on aspects that would make educating fun and so I focused on an interface design for simple educating arcade games.
I started this project with wire frames of how each page should be organized and the location of images and buttons to navigate to new pages. Since this is for teachers and children I wanted to keep everything very simple and utilize colorful images to make the design appealing to the targeted demographic.
Problem
The challenge for this hypothetical project is to create a mobile app design and interface that can assist teachers with general education.
The approach for this project was reliant on project research for this serious condition and create a mobile interface that can identify more effective methods on improving education. One of the main issues that I discovered with maintaining user attention, and one of the most effective method of maintaining attention and improving information detention. Was through more interactive methods of having a user engage with their subject. This also implies with my own experience with having educational computer games be a core memory of enjoyable class experience. This project was to create something colorful and engaging to improve engagement with the designated user base and be a more sandbox educational experience. One that can also allow the teacher to work on creating their own educational game for their students or have students develop more tech skills by creating and sharing their own.
Hypothetical Crooked Stave Artisans Web Redesign
For this hypothetical web design project for my class, I redesigned the site for Crooked Stave Artisans, a brewery company. With my redesign I wanted to really focus on exploring ways to create a warm aesthetic for the theme of a brewery. I personally enjoyed the process exploring ways to engage the target audience with a beer focus design theme.
My exploration and process of creating wire frames to understand how my redesign should be structured and organized.
My exploration for creating a solid warm color scheme that also works for a beer aesthetic, I think going for more brownish color’s for wood fits the theme and aesthetic of a cozy brewery/bar perfectly.
My exploration for exploring ways to redesign their logo for the hypothetical web redesign project.
Problem
Solution
The challenge for this hypothetical project is to create a new home and portfolio page for a brewery company.
The solution for this project was to create and maintain a warm feeling with the design, that being the color choice, the imagery, and making sure that the warm color choice was appealing to the user for viewing. The purpose of this design choice was to maintain the aesthetics for a brewing company.
